announces its 6th international conference on

Constructions of Identity
Cluj-Napoca (Romania),


28-29 October 2010

This edition's general topic is:

Identity and Globalization

The conference will host keynote speeches and workshops. The keynote speakers and the topic of their lecture will be published in the final version of the conference programme. The workshops are organised in the following sections:

  • American Literature
  • British and Commonwealth Literature
  • Cultural Studies
  • English Language Teaching
  • Gender Studies
  • Language Studies
  • Literary Theory
  • Poetics and Semiotics
  • Translation Studies

The participants in the workshops are expected to give a 15-minute general presentation of their papers, which will be followed by discussions between speakers and audience.

As usual, the proceedings of this conference will be published in a volume.

The general conference fee is 200 lei, to be paid upon arrival.

This includes: participation costs, coffee breaks, lunches on Thursday and Friday, the conference cocktail on Thursday and the publication in the conference volume.

Those who want to have their paper published in the conference volume, should bring it on a CD and hand it in at the registration desk. If the paper contains pictures, images, tables, etc., a printed copy should be handed in as well. The instructions for editing can be found here.
